Review: Chocolate Masque by Montagne Jeunesse

This is not the first time I've tried the product but haven't really thought of making a review of it before. So here goes...

Package: These are sold in single bags for one use. Bag is really annoying to use and it's messy. All masks has a woman wearing the mask on the package so you get the idea of what the stuff looks like before opening the bag.

Price: £0.99 so it's really cheap even in weekly use. In Finland it's around 2-3€ so it's more expensive for weekly use but still nothing too expensive.

Promise: From Montagne Jeunesse's site: "Chocolate, yes, it’s chocolate. A guilt free treat! This masque offers a feast of creamy delights – it’s outrageous! This deep cleansing masque helps unblock pores, moisturises and heals for skin that glows with health. It smells incredible – imagine these – Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter – creamy heaven. Enjoy!
- Gluten Free
- No Added Parabens"

Product: The smell/scent is fantastic! Just like melted chocolate. It also feels like melted chocolate that has been whipped in with some cream. I could eat it but don't think it would be too healthy. I also like that it's sort of heavy so it's easy to put all over your face. Easy enough to get rid off when rinsing with water after it's dried. Didn't make such a mess that I thought it would since chocolate is messy. Can't say it does much to my skin except make it a bit smoother and moisturised (like most masks). Didn't see any clearing of blackheads or less shiny forehead so don't really think it's that deep cleansing as it says.

Re-purchasing: Definitely would buy it again (and have done just that). It's nice for every now and then use when you want to pamper yourself with lovely chocolate without gaining the pounds.

I bought this item with my own money.

  4. Marce: Usually I need something that cleanses a bit more but it was nice to smell of chocolate for a while :P

HeavenNRJ: That sounds nasty! Luckily I don't have too sensitive skin so takes a lot before it reacts like that.

Gaby: I wanted to eat it too :D
