LOTD ~ Parachute (and Happy New Year!)

I wanted to do some more festive look for today so - as title gives away - I took inspiration from Cheryl Cole's make up in her Parachute video. Of course I left the rhinestones out since I didn't want to walk out in them and false eyelashes - I got the latter ones tho.

LOTD ~ Platinum

This is my actual LOTD. Went to do some food shopping for tomorrow with my bf and little sister.

Why I called it Platinum? I used only Gosh Quattro Eyeshadow palette in Platinum for the eyes (plus of course mascara).

Yes, I do need a lot fairer foundation for winter but guess what - I haven't found fair enough that's actually good. And my neck is whiter than my face and chest so it does look weird.

Asos, Moonsteam Alchemy, DirtyAssSoaps haul

So I did some hauling before Christmas - you could say I bought myself some Christmas gifts.

I bought these from Asos:

Girls Aloud false eyelashes (by Nicola and Sarah), Dainty Doll Eyeshadow Base, Yes to Tomatoes Facial Wash and Yes to Carrots lip balm. I've only tried lip balm and it seems good enough, nothing too excitingly different from shop brands but I've had worse too.

Continuing with lip balms, I bought these from Moonsteam Alchemy:

They're both really nice and I have to admit - I bougth them for the packaging. I like the scent of both and am wearing Spiced Cream and Raspberry atm.

From DirtyAssSoaps I got a gift for my sister (well part of her gift) and yummy chocolate soap for me:

Yes, she plays WoW too.

This on actually smells like chocolate mousse and I really wanted to eat it but don't think it would be healthy. The scent stays on your skin and my bf kept sniffing my arm whole evening after using this.

And of course my real Christmas gift for myself...

Enough shopping for a while.... Yeah right!

LOTD ~ Material Girl

Honestly, this look is 2 weeks old and I was supposed to blog about it few weekends ago. But due to other stuff happening - or waiting it to happen - I haven't had time to blog about it. So now you'll see it.

Really simple: black eyeliner, tiny bit darker colour on crease than my lids and fuchsia lipgloss.

Poor neglected blog.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. I've been really tired - I always am but more so lately - and honestly don't know when my body decides to give in to the cold or keep trying to fight it. Been having weird symptoms lately and then they're gone next day, back again the day after that. So yeah, I'm expecting to get ill soon, hopefully before Christmas or early next year since I don't want to be ill on my holiday.

There's also another reason I haven't had time to blog and that is beloved - or hated - World of Warcraft. I got my Cataclysm and despite horrible queues to server I've managed to get myself up to 84 (I'm slow, I know, also play like 2h an evening). And with Collector's Edition I got this:

Get Covered - Gold Against The Soul

I was a huge Manic Street Preachers fan in my teens and I still listen to them, probably always will at some level. Gold Against the Soul is - at least was - their most disliked album but I always liked it for some reason. Well not like I usually agree with others.

So this is the cover art for the album.

 I did both nails and face with that album cover as my inspiration so you will see them both. Nails first.

 I did my nails with Urban Decay Gunmetal as a base and roses with white Konad and some non-Konad plate, then I topped it all with Mavala's Color-Matt base coat.

I wanted my eye makeup to be matt too so I used Urban Decay's Perversion and then some browns from 96 palette.

I miss the sun, pics don't look as good when taken in bathroom with flash (without flash they get blurry and colours look weird - just haven't found right settings yet).

And my WoW Cataclysm is still in some logistic centre which means I won't be getting it before tomorrow - Lil' Deathwing just has to wait. But then again I logged in just to see what was going on and...

...not sure if I can play tomorrow either. At least I got 3 more books to read.
