Lush Ballistics reviews - Space Girl and Dragon's Egg

These are the first ballistics/bath bombs I've tried from Lush. I don't have a bath tub at home so had to try these when I was in UK visiting my boyfriend - he just needs a better bath so I could lay there even longer.

Space Girl

"Here comes a ballistic of astronomical proportions. We were inspired by The Imagined Village's intriguing interpretation of Space Girl from their second album, Empire & Love. It's shaped like Saturn with added space dust for our alien friends, and the refreshing scent of blackcurrant sweeties will make you hungry for your own space adventures. Space Girl is stellar, just remember your blaster and your freezer gun."

I bought this for the look and name - geeky me loved it. This melts really fast into the bath water and turns it into blue hue that is totally see-through. Reminded me a bit of the turquoise oceans - even if the colour was more blue than turquoise. It was lovely to lie in there. Glitter was quite minimal, saw one every now and then. The scent was lovely - not sure did I actually smell blackcurrants tho, more the grapefruit came out.

I would've wanted the bomb to melt slower but otherwise I liked it.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi), Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis), Colour 17200, Colour 42053, Crimson and Red Golden Glitter (Polyethylene terephthalate), Fizzy Candy, *Limonene, *Linalool, Methyl Ionone
* Occurs naturally in essential oils

Dragon's Egg

"As you bathe in the whirlpool of vibrant, fiery colour and inhale the refreshing sherbet scent of lemon and bergamot, you'll feel like you're up and away on the back of your own dragon. Citrus oils are known for their invigorating effect on the mind and Dragon's Egg is no exception! Drop one of these baby dragons in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before evenings out."

This was - one word - GLITTERY! If you want glitter, go for it. Problem is your bath will be covered in golden glitter for days unless you're ready to scrub your bath afterwards. I used it in my boyfriend's bath and don't think he was too happy about being left with glittery bath tub :P

This bomb takes ages to actually dissolve. In the middle there's an orange bit that will spread orange whirls when it's exposed to water. So in the end you will bathe in orange water with golden glitter. Water isn't see-through like in Space Girl.

Scent was lovely mix of citrus and jasmin.
